Meet the Team
The General Plan Update is a collaborative effort that brings together Duchesne County residents, stakeholders, government officials, and planning experts. Each group plays a critical role in shaping a plan that reflects the values and priorities of our community.
Citizens
Citizens are at the heart of the planning process. They provide input on their wants, needs, and vision for Duchesne County’s future. This feedback forms the foundation for the plan’s goals and strategies.
Stakeholders
Stakeholders provide detailed insights to clarify and refine public input. They represent specific interests, such as business owners, farmers, public land managers, and community groups.
Planning Commission
The Planning Commission plays a critical role in reviewing, refining, and recommending the plan for adoption.
County Commissioners
County Commissioners are involved early in the process to help steer the plan’s creation. They provide guidance on the framework and priorities and are responsible for the final adoption of the General Plan.
Sunrise Engineering
The Sunrise Engineering team leads the technical and organizational aspects of the General Plan Update. They work with county staff and the public to create a comprehensive, actionable plan.
Informants
Informants are individuals or groups with specialized knowledge or expertise that helps shape the General Plan. Their insights contribute to a deeper understanding of technical issues, resources, and opportunities within the County.
Planning Commission Advisory Board
A small group of Planning Commission members working directly with specific stakeholders to refine information and ensure the plan aligns with community priorities.
County Staff
County staff act as the bridge between the community, stakeholders, and the planning team. They guide the process and ensure effective coordination.
